Welcome to the ASUS VivoBook S14 S433 S433FA-DS51-WH with 10th gen Intel Core i5-10210U review.
Searching for a sleek lightweight laptop that has 2020 hardware and specs for your school, business, or home use? This laptop is the one.
Not only an attractive device, but this unit is also so thin and light like MacBook Air (only 0.4 pounds heavier), and you don’t need to pay for Apple price.
I am sure, you have been doing some research. The fact that shows the predecessor of this unit (2019 VivoBook) is one of the best seller laptops on Amazon explains how solid the VivoBook family is.
Even the ones that have the 128GB SSD storage were rated very well. And this one has the generous 512GB at this price.
S433FA-DS51-WH: Aesthetically Pleasing
The device itself comes with an eco-friendly product package. First impression, the notebook looks very sleek, as it weighs only ± 3.2lbs, so only 0.4lbs heavier than MacBook Air, and is only 15.9mm thin.
Fancy even more compact VivoBooks? Check out the 11-inch version or the 13-inch ZenBook.
Adding its sophisticated look, this 2020 VivoBook S14 has the anodized diamond-cut on all of its edges and the simple but remarkable logo on the laptop’s back cover.
The portability factor and the overall beautiful design are remarkable, plus the all-metal dreamy white chassis for this model. These are rare things that you can get for this price point.
The first thing that will get your attention after opening your laptop’s lid is the silver finish keyboard deck and the highlighted Enter key button that has a yellow outline color. One of the brand identity of the VivoBooks family.
14” 1080p FHD NanoEdge Bezel Screen
For the screen, the S433FA-DS51-WH unit comes with a non-touch 14″ frameless LED-backlit Full-HD IPS display with 1920×1080 screen resolution, and 16:9 aspect ratio.
In case you’re searching for a 15-inch VivoBook consider this unit.
Thanks to ASUS’s NanoEdge technology, this notebook can offer you slim bezel and an 85% screen-to-body ratio. Furthermore, it has an anti-glare matte finish to lower those irritating glares should you use it outdoor or in a brighter environment.

The 178° viewing angle (wide-view technology) is to prevent screen blackening or any distortions should you view your screen from different angles or distances. Despite having slim top bezel, this notebook still includes the webcam with HD resolution (1280×720).
For HP 14 inch touchscreen laptop, we recommend this Ryzen powered notebook.
S433FA-DS51-WH Keyboard
Being a 14-inch laptop, this S433FA-DS51-WH does not include the Numpad on its keyboard. However, this also means, the keys are also having more rooms to type on.
The 1.4mm key travel and the full-size keys giving you a more comfortable typing experience. If you have previously used ASUS notebooks that have ErgoLift hinge, you will kind of miss it with this notebook.
In fact, you can find this feature in many notebooks from ASUS, like the Zephyrus gaming laptop, this 2020 VivoBook S14 does not feature the ErgoLift hinge. Thankfully, that does not mean, typing on it is uncomfortable.

On the back of the computer, you will be able to see some kind of stoppers and a kind of button in the middle to help the keyboard providing a better writing position.
I also appreciate the white backlit feature of the keyboard on this S433FA-DS51-WH, which will light up when you are working in a darker room or at night. This is perfect for anyone who often works on their notebooks at night.
✅ How to adjust the keyboard's lighting?
Use your Fn + F7 keys
Touchpad & Fingerprint Scanner
Below the keyboard is the touchpad with its fingerprint scanner feature. The touchpad itself is quite responsive and has a smooth surface.
What so nice is the Fingerprint scanner on the top right on the touchpad surface. For this price, it’s very pleasing to have this feature. You will be able to unlock your notebook in seconds rather than typing the password.
This video below shows you how you can set up the Fingerprint sensor login with Windows 10 without installing extra software on your ASUS notebook.

S433FA-DS51-WH Performance
The 2020 dreamy white ASUS VivoBook S14 S433 packs the 10th generation of Comet Lake processor (the i5-10210U) which is the most recent CPU line for portable computers.
Performance-wise, because it’s a quad-core processor with 4-Cores and 8-Threads and built with the optimized 14nm (14++) Lithography it can perform the max turbo boost at 4.2GHz when needed.
This outperforms the 10th generation of Ice Lake that can only reach 3.6GHz for the max turbo boost frequency. This good CPU paired with the 8GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB spacious SSD makes this notebook can perform well without issues.
Basic computing jobs, like school and business work, including light gaming and light editing work, photoshop can run on this laptop seamlessly.
Can you game?
Due to its integrated GPU, the Intel HD Graphics 620 yes you will be able to play games casually.
Games like Solitaire, Minecraft, FIFA, Rocket League, Assasin’s Creed Odyssey, and a few 2020 games can run on this laptop without problems. However, this is a 600ish dollar laptop, so you won’t get power as the gaming notebooks have.
The GPU isn’t a discrete Graphics, so don’t expect to be able to run hardcore games in it. For about 100 bucks more, you can get a budget gaming laptop anyway, with a dedicated GPU like this one.
Battery Life: Atrocious or Good?
The 2020 ASUS VivoBook 14 S433 comes with 3-cells 50Wh Lithium-polymer battery. Combined with the efficient processor, this notebook provides quite good battery life.
A big bonus is the fast charging feature. Basically, you can fast charge your notebook, 60% in 49 minutes, this is insane!
For really basic usage like browsing the internet and working with documents, you can get 10-15 hours for a charge.
Moreover, it will give you about 7-8 hours if you watch movies and browsing. For gaming, you will have ±3 hours. Battery life will really depend on your computer usage.
If you expect 20+ hours, check on the ExpertBook product, also from ASUS.
Above all, this S433FA-DS51-WH will not get overheated for prolonged use. Thanks to the fan inside the notebook that will help to release the heat through the grills that are located at the bottom of your device.

In Search of Incredible!
“In Search of Incredible!” – you will find this phrase in the laptop’s packaging box when you unbox it.
For this price tag, it’s a great notebook for everyone. It’s great for school, college, or even for small games.
It has plenty of SSD storage (512GB vs 256GB or 128GB), many USB ports (4!), a fast and efficient quad-core processor. Then it also has a backlit keyboard and fingerprint scanner.
in stock - high demand
This slim and light ASUS VivoBook S14 S433 S433FA-DS51-WH laptop clearly far surpassed my expectations.
