Acer Aspire 5 Windows S mode can be switched out. But before we go to the steps, let’s understand the basics first.
What is Windows 10 S Mode?
Microsoft has created Windows 10 in S mode, for your computer’s performance as well as security. This said you will be exclusively running Windows 10 apps from the Microsoft Store. Those apps are Microsoft-verified apps that are secure for users to install and use. Learn more.
However, this also means, you cannot install any apps that are not available in the Store. You’ll need to have other editions of Windows in order to do so.
It is free to switch out the S mode
Before you want to switch out, you will need to be aware that this will be a one-time decision.
Once you’ve converted your PC out of S Mode, you can never go back again, unless you clean install your laptop or computer and wiping all your data.
